Time Is Money

Rugby can take up every waking moment of your life, it's true— but it doesn't have to. As far as time commitments go, all you have to do is go to training twice a week and to a game once a week. However, we recommend that you spend a little bit more time with us; we're a good bunch once you get to know us.

There's usually some sort of event on Saturday night after the game, be it a function at the clubhouse or simply a couple of beers at Molly Malone's. There'll always be someone at the club after training to keep you entertained for a couple of hours as well.

All in all, would you rather be at home watching an old rerun of Seinfeld on Mondays and Thursdays or running your ass off at training and laughing about how out of shape you are over a couple of beers afterwards? It's up to you.

No, No: Money is Money

Senior dues were $250 last season, but we are waiting to see if any of Canada, Alberta or Calgary Rugby Unions will be increasing their dues before we can set ours for the 2006 season; juniors pay $150. We have implemented a student rate for dues this year and that rate will be announce in the next few weeks as well

You can pay your dues at the Calgary Rugby Park, by cheque (made out to Calgary Saracens Athletic Club), cash, Visa, or Mastercard (please note that there is a $10 fee for using Visa or Mastercard).

You must pay your dues before you can receive a player ID card, which is your ticket onto the field on game day. This year, however there is a new policy in place where we have to register our teams by February 28th in order to determine which teams we are entering in the league. So, please come on down to the CRU on February 23rd or 24th to register.

If you want to join the club, but don't want to play, we have an option for you. Find out about social membership at the Saracens.

OK, that about wraps it up. So if you're ready, let's get signed up.
